Majestic Princess to Adelaide, Ruby Princess to Sydney in 2019/20 Cruise Season | 27 Mar, 2018
Princess Cruises has unveiled details of its 2019/2020 Australian season, which will see five ships sailing from six homeports around the country, including the local debut of Ruby Princess, the return of Majestic Princess and an unprecedented three ships cruising out of Adelaide.
The South Australian program includes cruises on the line’s 3,560-passenger flagship Majestic Princess, as well as three international roundtrips from Adelaide, such as a new 17-night Fiji cruise on Golden Princess, a 54-night Indian Ocean and South Africa cruise on Sun Princess, and New Zealand voyages.
Sun Princess will spend 141 days based in Fremantle, as announced earlier this week. The record-breaking Australian deployment will also see more itineraries on various Princess ships from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland.
Built in 2007, Ruby Princess is booked for 14 departures from Sydney, where Sea, Sun and Majestic Princess will also be deployed. Golden Princess will sail out of Melbourne.
“Princess is gearing up for our largest Australian and New Zealand deployment in history, which will see a record number of people cruising on Princess ships over the 2019/2020 season,” said senior vice president Princess Cruises Asia Pacific, Stuart Allison.
“Our largest ever deployment will feature five ships sailing from six homeports on over 125 departures across more than 60 itineraries to over 100 destinations in 30 countries. The arrival of Ruby Princess, combined with news of Majestic’s return before she’s completed her maiden season here, means we’ll have two of the four latest Princess ships sailing in this region.”
