Costa Cruises

Costa Cruises origins are distinctly Italian and today they try hard to retain at least some of the Italian style aboard their ships. Costa offers lots of action onboard with most passengers eager to participate in the regular and festive activities, some reflecting its Italian heritage. Italian language and cooking classes, and toga parties just a small example.

From May through to November Costa’s ships cruise in Europe. Outside of these months Costa offers Caribbean, Asia and Far East sailings catering to the North American, Australian and European market.

The Costa Experience

In the Caribbean, English is the official language of the ship, and you'll most likely be cruising with Canadians, Americans, South Americans and some Europeans.

In Europe, it is a different experience entirely. Five languages are spoken aboard ship and shore excursions may be multi-lingual.

Passenger Profile

On Caribbean voyages, the majority of passengers are Canadian and American with a smaller mix of South Americans and Europeans. In Europe, 80% of passengers are European and most are in the 40+ age range. There are normally less children on a Costa cruise than most of the American lines.

Children’s Programs

'Costa Kids Club' is offered year-round and includes supervised activities and programs for children aged 3-8, 9-12, 13-17. On formal nights, Costa features 'Parents Night Out' by throwing a private supervised buffet for kids.
